"If you are cold, tea will warm you. If you are heated, it will cool you. If you are depressed, it will cheer you. If you are excited, it will calm you." I found a pretty interesting experience while I was here. Even though the place is quiet small, but the interior and the decoration felt so homey. The place is quite easy to find. Located right in front of Legend of Noodles and beside MOJO Kitchen & Bar, Senopati.
This time, I got a chance to try their Set Menu no. 1 (IDR 150K), which included 2 Scones, Egg Salad Sandwich, Garlic Shrimp with Zucchini, Victorian Sponge Cake, and 2 Fruit Tartlets. It's perfect for 2 persons, but it'll make you stuffed! Let's take a peek of what's it looks like!
Start with the very top one, Garlic Shrimp with Zucchini.
This one is a delicious & scrumptious starter, a shrimp loaded with crushed garlic, butter & slices of Zucchini. Even though the shrimp is quite small, but the taste is incredible!
On the middle one, we got Victorian Sponge Cake and Fruit Tartlets.
The Victorian Sponge Cake is nice, but not too spongy, plus the strawberries is really sour! Just like the strawberry in the Fruit Tartlet. But I like the tart and the cream inside it. Addicting and crispy!
And the bottom one is Scones and Egg Salad Sandwich!
The Egg Salad Sandwich is delightful, filled with boiled eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, minced garlic & chives. Too bad the egg isn't quite salty enough. Second one is the Scones! It's very light & soft, almost like a biscuit texture. Best being served with their authentic Devonshire Cream or Jam.
Last but not least, Pavlova (IDR 40K).
In case you're wondering what is it. It's a meringue cake with a crispy crust & kinda soft too. Very light inside and topped with a Whipped Cream & Fruit. Meringue cake is a unique textured cake. It will melt and become sticky in your mouth, the one thing that I don't like about it, is that sometimes, it could stucked in your teeth :')
As for the tea, I ordered the Prince of Wales & Darjeeling (IDR 48K).
The tea is really enough for one person, because the teapot is quite big. And the tea is really sweet-scented. Such a really nice tea time here!
